Took in the vibe of the French Quarter today. Loving the houses
There are tonnes of great bars and cafés, as well as some pretty grim party joints, though that's mostly around Bourbon Street, which is like most other main drags in cities around the world, with cheap shots, naff t-shirt shops and the ominous smell of cleaning fluid. Just with nicer architecture.
We found some local dives, which were more locals than tourists and you can sit at the bar and shoot the breeze.
We also did some of the classic sites
Now We're cooling off from the NOLA humidity and chilling back at our crib (!) and have been playing pool and chatting to the other Air bnb-ers.
Our room is huge and dominated by a massive bed. Which for some reason whilst incredibly comfortable, is also incredibly high. Denis leaps on to it, but Lou has to scale the sides from Basecamp Princess & the Pea. This is found to be highly amusing by all parties.
We're back out on the streets tonight.
Awesome: Photo exhibition of past jazz musicians. Plus, you can get a gator claw back scratcher - taking orders.
Banjo:
Diner: Beignets. Fried, filled with nut praline and covered in sugar.
Co-pilot: Just a walkin and a talkin, doing the big easy vibe.
Lou v Mozzie: We think the earlier photo shows the power balance.
looks fantastic, enjoying the blog a lot.
