There was music in the cafés at night and revolution in the air.

The latter needed more than ever now!

So, on this day, when the electorate lost the plot.....8th May 1965, The filming of the promotional film for Bob Dylan’s 'Subterranean Homesick Blues' took place at the side of the Savoy Hotel in London.  Plus Happy 104th birthday to Robert Johnson! He was born in Hazlehurst, Mississippi, on May 8, 1911.

Nice bit of music trivia.

So today we hit our holiday wall and whilst still did stuff, we are having a floppy evening to recharge our batteries after several days of sightseeing.

We met these fellas down at the voodoo museum

Visited Willliam Faulkner's house where he wrote his first novel
Saw this

Then headed to Katrina exhibition. This is Fats Domino's piano as retrieved from his ruined home.

We also walked the waterfront, went to the Mardi Gras museum and bought some tourist tat, for which we expect some of you to be eternally grateful!

We rounded off the afternoon with some jazz in Jackson Square.

Did not know that: In 1992, the Pope starting praising voodoo. As in singing of, not practicing.
Banjo: The Tories getting in again.
Diner: Creole pulled pork po-boy, banana foster, mint julep. Lou has adopted a new life rule that: Every day you need a little hot sauce.
Co-pilot: Mr Wise remains map reader supreme.
Mozzies: We appear to have come to a mutual understanding to keep away from each other. Though highly toxic  sprays may play a hand in this.
