Late posting, as dirty stop-outs.
Today headed toward the 90s, kinda like wading through hot gumbo.
We slid down to the Bywater area, another place seeing gentrification around the damn fine coffee houses, flea markets, bookstalls and record shops.
Den v pleased to see appropriate support of literature:
We then headed down to the Louisiana Music Factory to catch one of their 3 gigs today:
For those who may wonder, this is how the crawfish get their boil on:
We hoped to try some, but after asking three times and getting the same answer: "it's done when it's done", we had to leave it behind :(
This evening we sat on a balcony overlooking Frenchmen Street
Then we went to see LITTLE FREDDIE KING!!!!! (The cousin of Lightnin' Hopkins, he played with Babe Stovall, Slim Harpo, and Champion Jack Dupree. He recorded the first electric blues album in New Orleans with Harmonica Williams in 1969.)
The harp player alone was worth the $8! An amazing night, with tequila and rum to help dance the night away.

Awesome: The longest trains on the planet. Not so awesome was Lou's inability to cross the tracks before it rolled through, leaving her stuck on the wrong side. Had she learnt nothing from the earlier experience in Memphis? It took so long, she even had time to get breakfast, whilst Den awaited her arrival on the other side.
Plus Little Freddie!!
Banjo: I asked why? The reply: "Why not?"
Diner: Gumbo and Southern Fried Chicken.
Co-pilot: Lou got all mapped up in Den's face and led him to the vinyl promised land.
Mozzies: Den and Lou - who dat? We rollin as Itchy & Scratchy these days y'all.
