We have just ended another spectacular NOLA day of fabulousness. 

The day started with a stroll downtown, past a tree full of ornamental artwork:

Caught the bus to the Garden City boho area, where second hand vinyl and clothing were purchased. We then hopped on the cheap as chips street car, which was highly desirable (sorry!)

We went to the dive bar where Den continued his traversing of the bourbon shelves and Lou sipped her Bloody Mary in a ponderous manner. Mostly due to the inclusion of pickled okra and French beans. Allotment gluts now have an additional function, yeay. 

Then, it was off to the weekly FREE Jazz in the Park festival where we saw the All in One second line and headliners Preservation Hall Brass Band. Much dancing was done, with FREE beer and alligator tacos - we can vouch for their meaty goodness. 

The leading dudes - not sure of official title, but their stance at the statue of Louis was very Purple Panthers!

There was also boiled crayfish

And this woman. Who when Lou popped to the restroom,  approached Denis and told him his eyes were "Real blue, blue like the sky". Given the earlier motel owners advances, we think he has found his calling as octogenarian arm-candy. And she thought Lou was his daughter!

We finished the night at a local dive bar. 

Will we wake to a Tory government????

Awesome: Dancing to Pres Hall Band's Iko and got all soppy to their version of That's the Story of Love. Denis is also delighted at the free coffee refills. And Air BnB host doing all our laundry!

Banjo: Candy pig: bacon dipped in maple syrup and sugar. It shouldn't be good should it?

Diner: fried shrimp and grits, andouille sausage. 

Co-pilot: all quiet until Monday's departure. 

Lou v Mozzies: Due to a lack of surface area on Lou, Denis is now the primary target. Some think this is about bloody time!
